We have had dogs for the last 43 years and have always been able to train them. About a year ago we had to put down both of our dogs within days. So after some heavy thinking we decided to get two German Shepherd puppies. Yes, we are nuts
We were able to get two who are brother and sister. We thought this was wonderful. Samantha and Duke came home with us. We thought puppies will be puppies. Not so with Sammy and Duke. We could not handle them. Sammy seem to be aggressive and we didn’t know what to do.
Our Vet had an open house and that’s where we first met Perry. We watched the demo and thought about it but did nothing. Then came the Pet Expo. Again we met Perry and did more talking. We decided to have Perry come to the house to evaluate Sammy and Duke. We explained to Perry that Sammy was somewhat aggressive. Perry said let her out and we did only to have Sammy attack Perry and bite him. We signed up that night.
Perry came to the house for about 4 or 5 lessons and then we started taking Sammy and Duke to the farm for private lessons. We saw changes in both dogs. We could make them do things like sit, down, and heel. Sammy even let Perry near her. The time came to join the group lessons. The change in our dogs was dramatic. They began to socialize with people and the other dogs. Sammy now will let other people pet her and she no longer is aggressive to others.
Steve and I recommend the training methods of Absolute Control Dog Training. Perry’s methods work. We are now enjoying our dogs. We know we can take them to training class as often as we like which is usually 4 to 5 days a week. We love that they are able to have fun with other dogs.
