Snapple's testimonial page is unique. There are three people involved in his life and each of them wanted to write their own testimonial. They are as follows:
My name is Naomi Sutphin. I was a farm girl who loved all animals. After my husband and I were married, we had beagles and labs. My husband had to go into a nursing home. Our yellow lab, Coady, was a lot of comfort for me at home. When I had to make the decision to put her down, it was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do. I didn’t have my husband at home or our dog. It tore my heart out.
I could not afford to get another purebred lab, so I decided to check out the shelters in the area. I had also left a message with my vet in case he heard of anything. I got a phone call a week later from my vet that a rescued yellow lab was coming to him for treatment. He wanted me to be the first to see the lab.
A dog breeding operation had been shut down, but only a few of the dogs could be saved. Of course, you know what happened next.! They brought in this poor skin and bone animal. They had worked on him all night to get him cleaned up and able to stand up and walk. The vet knew what he was doing. He knew as soon as I looked into his eyes the butter was melting. He potty trained pretty easy considering he had been kept in a small cage in his own mess.
My friend, Sarah, was with me and wanted to know what I was going to call him. She was drinking a diet lemon Snapple Ice Tea. I said “Well, I want something different.” She suggested Lucky because he was lucky to be alive. I said “He is handsome and snappy! He looks yellow-brown like Snapple Ice Tea. That’s it! Snapple!” Sarah did not like the name but Snapple and I sure did.
By the time he turned a year old, he was big, strong and overpowering. My cousin told me that I needed to do something with Snapple before he hurt me, Sarah or someone else. He was not biting or being aggressive, he was just strong and playful…non-stop!
I read in the newspaper that Burlington County Library was having a pet expo. We went to check it out and saw Perry Parks do things with his dog, Odie, that I had never seen anywhere but on T.V. It was GREAT! I signed up for a demo at my home. One of Perry’s trainers came and I could tell from our conversation and the look on his face that this flying bullet through out the house and over the furniture needed help.
I had my friend, Lisa Mattson, over since I had already made arrangements with her and her family that they would get Snapple if anything happened to me. My husband and I did this with all our animals. We did not want them left to be mishandled or neglected.
In just 20 minutes of working with Snapple, the trainer had him under control. Lisa and I just stood there in amazement! We were hooked on Absolute Control Dog Training and could not wait to get started.
Perry and all his wonderful trainers are so caring and loving! Not only to their own animals (and believe you me there are many of them) but they go out of their way for every person and their dog to help with individual needs. If an owner has a pet with a specific problem and needs a little more attention, they get it. Everyone is treated fairly and special.
Also, being around these people and their pets have helped me feel better. Training class breaks up going to work and then to the nursing home to see my husband. I have something fun to look forward to, so does Snapple.
Snapple has finally graduated. When asked to do things in class, he was fine but every time he was tested, he wouldn’t do all the commands all the way. I told Perry that I think he has it in his head that if he graduates, I won’t bring him back to class to learn and play anymore.
Perry asked me and Lisa about training him for drug searches. Lisa is doing most of this with Snapple. This training is so interesting and how fast they can sniff out the drugs is unreal!
I would HIGHLY recommend Absolute Control Dog Training for everyone that has a dog. It does not matter about breed, size, ect. All are welcomed!
Sincerely,
Naomi Sutphin

My name is Sarah Ross and I live with Naomi and Snapple. I had scratches and bruises all over my arms and legs because Snapple (still a puppy) played so rough.
Absolute Control Dog Training was the answer to our prayers. It is so nice to be able to enjoy Snapple for the great boy he is. He even helps me with the laundry. He brings me the socks from the laundry basket.
I like to go watch while Snapple is in training classes. It’s nice to see how the dogs come along too. The trainers are all so nice and caring. The dogs seem to love them all. You can see how much the trainers want to help you and your dog with any questions or problems. They have the patience of saints.
I use to call Snapple “Wild Thing” but now he does everything he should do and stopped doing things he shouldn’t do. Snapple has his own youth bed that he now sleeps in. I no longer have to listen to "mommy" telling Snapple to lie down and go to sleep.
Thanks SO much!
Sarah Ross

To all of the Absolute Control Trainers:
A big “THANK YOU” to you for all the help you gave us with Snapple.
My family and I live next door to Naomi & Sarah, and I guess my official title would be Snapple’s guardian. We were first introduced to this wonderful pup, so full of energy and speed! He was sweet and handsome, but such a handful for Naomi & Sarah. My own young children were a bit afraid of him because he didn’t seem to know his own strength, and would often knock them down.
Whenever I would try to take Snapple for a walk, it was a constant tug of war. Needless to say, he was a maniac!
All that began to change the night that Sean came with the collar. Naomi and I learned how to use the remote and started to learn how to go about calming down our handsome maniac.
In the beginning, we both took Snapple to training every day, me in the morning and Naomi & Sarah in the evening. Within just a few weeks, he was a different dog. He still had the same energy and sweet spirit, but we were totally in control!!
Even though Snapple’s graduated, we still look forward to the lessons. Snapple gets to play with his “friends” and we get to learn more about dogs each time we go.
Your company is absolutely wonderful!! Each and every trainer cares both about the dog as well as the owner (or guardian). You are all a pleasure to work with. Many thanks for helping us truly enjoy this wonderful dog!
Sincerely,
Lisa Mattson
